The first thing to understand: how am I, a non-native
speaker with terrible English, going to teach you that language? I’m not! My
role here is merely to introduce you to the course (you can skip all that
theory, after all) and instruct you on how to use these practical exercises.
Actually it is quite self-explanatory. The course does not teach you new
information (maybe some vocabulary, but that’s only secondary), it helps you to
ACTIVATE what you already have inside of you. This is why our course is called
the “Brain Speak ACTIVATOR” course. In reality, you are teaching yourself by
doing these exercises. Your activity is
essential!
BrainSpeakActivator (shortly BraSpAc) is a program to help you improve your speaking. It consists of 180 lessons, which is 1260 exercises that have been carefully selected and intentionally created to boost your talkativeness. But beware! This program is not a magic pill or some quick fix. It is a process of transformation and neuroplastic formation of your brain which will need you to take an active approach and conscious cooperation - some effort, patience and persistence will be needed. And this program is worthy of this!
“He that would have the fruit must climb the tree. “
- Gandhi
The simple fact that you are reading these lines is reason enough to congratulate you. You are on the right track. Practice makes perfect! Keep going!
This English version of our program was launched just a few days ago. This is a new opportunity for us to share our system with people all around the world. We have sold plenty of course books in Czech in our country already (since 2008) and the results achieved by our clients are stunning! You can see testimonials of some of them on the Testimonials page.
For whom is BraSpAc designed
This version of our course is in English (we are preparing translations into other languages, too), and is meant mainly for native speakers of this language or for people who have English as their second language. In other words, relatively good knowledge is required (download free 7-day version to test it for yourself). Non-native speakers, however, can make significant progress in learning English (especially speaking skills) whilst improving speaking skills in their native language too! The course is very useful for learning languages in general, not only foreign ones. If you are a non-native speaker you should keep a dictionary near to hand to make sure you can always say what you want – as the course goes on, you will need it less and less. If your level is not that high at the moment – read more, listen more, and keep this up. Listen to material that you know, repeatedly. Be like a child. Don’t try and speak before you are ready – maybe leave this course for next year.

About this course
This course is a set of exercises choicely created to have a big impact on your talkativeness. It helps you activate the Broca’s center of your brain. As you know, our brain is a miraculous organ which consists of several centers dealing with different tasks. For us, in this case, concerning speaking, the Broca’s center is important as it is responsible for expressing ourselves, and Wernicke's area of the brain deals more with perception. Of course, everything is intertwined in our brains, so this division is only a schematic for our purpose and is more or less artificial.
In our times we are more consumers and this is also true as far as speaking is concerned. The TV is a phenomenon and we tend to watch it, to listen and to let ourselves be passively entertained. It is fine, easy and nice, but on the other hand, some parts of our brain become kind of lazy :-) The others are strong and can cause a little imbalance, much like the muscles of our body. We need to exercise (workout) those which are mainly neglected. You go to the gym or you can have a physically demanding job, you do some sport or use your body if you want to become strong. With our brain, it is the same. In the case of speaking, we usually need to improve our active vocabulary, our ability to respond quickly and properly. In most cases (especially if you are a native speaker) you do not need to learn something new - just to activate what you already have (maybe in other parts of your brain), and this is what this course is all about!
What do you think you should do to be able to talk better? Of course – you need to talk! But there is a problem, kind of downgrade spiral – you are not good at it, so you do not do it often, so you are not improving and you do not like to do it … it leads nowhere.
People who have “talkative” professions such as lawyers, politicians, broadcasters, speakers, and spokesmen, are good at it and are constantly improving. They can boost their abilities by doing exercises like the ones in this course (and they do) but you are not in such a profession, so, you need it even more. It is similar to physical workouts for people with a sedentary job. These exercises give you opportunity and guidance in a ready-made system designed with you in mind. It is good advice to practise them regularly.
